Unimog Stainless Door Hinges

Here are some pics of the stainless Unimog slip hinges that I made. The main reason for making them is that the original hinges where always a spot for rust. The 2 forward rivets in the door where always rubbing against the door jamb, so I used only 2 larger screws a little further back, which fall in side of the door frame. Once I complete the inside door panels the mounting bolts will be concealed. I also made some stainless door strikes so the door latch no longer will chip the paint when opening and closing the door. The nice thing about the original hinges is that they have a built in stop to stop the door from opening to far. I plan to use the same type of  door stops  that are used on jeeps.
